I am so grateful to the NAWCC for offering this course and look forward to attending future classes.” – Erich Ken’s knowledge and ability to teach allowed me to learn concepts and terminology and then apply it firsthand during our lab assignments. This class opened my eyes to so many aspects of time-only clock maintenance, but what impressed me the most was the instructor. I especially loved the school’s facilities and the small class size that allowed for plenty of student interaction. Review of Introduction to Antique Clocks Workshop: “The NAWCC’s Introduction to Antique Clocks was an enjoyable course and a worthwhile experience. I believe the most important lesson for me was the value of stopping and starting all over again. Review of American Style Time/Strike Clock Movements Workshop: “I appreciated Ken’s patience and good spirits while guiding me on a journey of understanding how American clocks work. The mentorship provided the added bonus of making new friends and contacts with similar interests.” –Dave I now have a solid foundation to build upon and add more advanced skills. These visits were very beneficial to enhancing our knowledge and providing an opportunity to understand and use our NAWCC member benefits. We used the library to research and date our clocks. We also visited the museum’s collections area and discussed clockmaking with the NAWCC Executive Director. The mentorship exceeded my expectations! We learned clock disassembly, cleaning, spring removal, oiling springs, pivot polishing and burnishing on a lathe, inspection, reassembly, lubrication, putting a clock into beat, and regulation. Review of Mentorship in Clockmaking: “I came from New Mexico, hoping to refine self-taught skills and learn some new ones. Hope that our schedules allow me to take something else with you.” -Joe I was a little worried before we started about how you could fill up the 8 hours, but the time (pun intended) just flew by. Your teaching style clearly met the needs of the students. Review of Introduction to Antique Clocks 1-Day Workshop: “I wanted to thank you for putting on a great seminar and training last week.
